Hiking and Climbing in the Great Basin National Park

Out of Print

This long Out of Print book published in 1988,  was the first publication written on the then newly created Great Basin National Park.  This book covered the mining history of the north and south parts of the Snake Range, the events leading up to the creation of the national park in the South Snake Range, the Geology of the region, Lehman’s Cave, the bristlecone pines–oldest living things on earth, plus the trails and great hikes in the area which centered on Wheeler Peak, the highest point in the Great Basin, and one of the premier peaks in the western USA.
